The Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Divide asparagus into bundles of 3-4 spears. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season lightly with garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
Wrap each bundle tightly with one strip of bacon, spiraling it from the bottom to the top.
Place bundles on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet (or directly on a baking sheet).
Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and cooked through and the asparagus is tender.
Serve immediately.
