The Preparation

Mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.

Add egg and milk, stir until combined into a thick batter.

Cut hot dogs or sausages into bite-sized pieces.

Insert skewers or toothpicks into each piece.

Dip each piece into corn dog batter, coating evenly.

Fry in oil at 350F until golden brown.
