A frothy amaretto sour with bourbon, tart citrus, and a silky egg-white cap.
5 steps, about 5 minutes start to finish.
Add amaretto, bourbon, lime juice, and egg white to a cocktail shaker WITHOUT ice.
Dry shake for 15 seconds to emulsify.
Add ice and shake for another 30 seconds.
Strain into a glass.
Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
“Do the first shake with no ice, because that dry shake is what whips the egg white into the silky foam a good sour is known for. Then add ice and shake again to chill it down before you strain.”
