The preparation

    Place pear slice in the bottom of a rocks glass.

  2. 02

    Add simple syrup and bitters.

  3. 03

    Add a large ice cube or ice ball.

  4. 04

    Pour bourbon over the ice.

  5. 05

    Stir gently to combine.

  6. 06

    Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
