Chocolate chip cookie dough baked into edible bowls, ready to fill with ice cream for build-your-own sundaes.
11 steps, about 50 minutes start to finish.
Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Fold dry ingredients into wet. Don't overmix.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Chill dough at least 30 minutes.
Flip muffin tin upside down, grease the backs of the cups.
Press dough over each cup, about 1/4 inch thick.
Bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool on tin 5 minutes, then gently twist and lift off.
Fill with ice cream, top with whatever you want.
“Chilling the dough is non-negotiable. Cold butter spreads less in the oven, which is what lets the dough hold its bowl shape instead of melting flat. If your bowls droop or collapse, the dough was too warm.”
