The bubbly Negroni Sbagliato, with Campari and sweet vermouth topped with prosecco instead of gin.
5 steps, about 30 minutes start to finish.
Add a large ice cube to a rocks glass.
Pour 1 oz Campari over the ice.
Pour 1 oz sweet vermouth.
Top with 2-3 oz chilled prosecco. Stir gently, one or two turns only.
Express an orange peel over the glass, then drop it in.
“Sbagliato means 'mistake' in Italian. A bartender at Bar Basso in Milan accidentally grabbed prosecco instead of gin, and a classic was born. The bubbles make it lighter and more refreshing than a standard Negroni.”
