Mint Julep

The Preparation

Place mint leaves and sugar cubes (or simple syrup) in a julep glass or rocks glass.

Muddle the mint gently to release oils.

Add bourbon.

Fill the glass with crushed or shaved ice, doming it over the top.

Stir until the glass becomes frosty cold.

Garnish with a slapped mint sprig on top.

Serve with a straw.
