A light, elegant aperitivo-style spritz: sweet almond notes from amaretto lifted by sparkling Prosecco and aromatic orange bitters.
6 steps, about 5 minutes start to finish.
Fill a wine glass or rocks glass with ice.
Pour in the amaretto.
Add 2-3 dashes of orange bitters.
Slowly pour the Prosecco along the side of the glass to preserve the bubbles.
Top with a splash of soda water and stir very gently once.
Garnish with an orange twist or a cherry if desired. Serve immediately.
“Adding the Prosecco slowly and stirring just once keeps the drink sparkling. Serve right away. It is best the moment it is made.”
