A blanco tequila riff on the Moscow Mule: fresh lime, ice-cold ginger beer, and enough tequila to make it interesting.
5 steps, about 3 minutes start to finish.
Fill a copper mug or highball glass generously with ice.
Pour blanco tequila over the ice.
Squeeze in fresh lime juice.
Top with well-chilled ginger beer. Pour slowly down the side of the mug to preserve carbonation.
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
“Blanco tequila keeps the drink clean and lets the lime and ginger come through. Reposado adds an oak note that competes. Use fresh lime, not bottled. The copper mug keeps the drink colder longer.”
