The Preparation
Run a lemon wedge around the outer edge of a coupe glass.
Press firmly into superfine sugar.
Set aside to dry.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add Cognac, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice.
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds.
Double strain into the prepared coupe.
Express a lemon twist over the surface, run it around the rim, drop or perch on the edge.
